My name is John Green. I became involved with Letham Climate Challenge as an Allotment Coordinator managing our two allotment sites and being the key contact for our plot-holders queries and requests. I am now retired, but had a long career in mechanical engineering. This experience of diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, reading technical drawings, and having awareness of health and safety requirements is a skillset that benefits me as a trustee being able to analyse complex problems and find practical solutions. Moreover, I have been a qualified cycle race official for more than twenty years, working at events from Regional Cycling, to the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and Commonwealth Games. I have worked with individuals from all kinds of backgrounds, and I am capable of identifying organisational risks and ensure compliance and safety, to plan for the long-term sustainability of the charity.
My name is Fiona Little. I was born in Letham. I had a long career as a midwife requiring a mix of professional, ethical, and interpersonal skills that are directly relevant to governance. I have worked with individuals and families during emotionally intense and vulnerable moments. I will ensure that Letham Climate Challenge’s services are inclusive and understanding of the beneficiaries needs. I advocated as a midwife for sexual health education in Ireland, and I will transfer these skills to engage with stakeholders, and advocate for LCC’s services.
My name is Carla Murray. I am currently Treasurer Trustee at LCC. I'm a resident of Letham and my background was in Insurance and Finance and also time spent working for a small Perth Charity. I love second hand and the work being done at LCC. I enjoying discussing and deciding on the evolving needs of the charity’s governance, finance, plans etc. Sometimes there are difficult decisions to be made and I appreciate my fellow Trustees opinions, support and actions.
My name is Rhea Murray and I have been a trustee at Letham Climate Challenge since 2024. I am currently in the role as Secretary and love that LCC is making its mark on local people and the sustainability of the planet. I have a background in victim support and advocacy services and I’m passionate about giving back to the community of Letham that I was brought up in.
My name is Hilda Stewart and I have lived in Letham for just over 30 years. I worked for over 43 years with Perth and Kinross Council and took early retirement in June 2025. While there, I managed a team of engineers looking after the Council’s voice and data network as well as budget monitoring/control and contract management. When I retired, I turned to volunteering. LCC’s work reusing items is great, as well as reducing waste: someone can benefit from items others no longer need. I look forward to getting stuck in and helping out in the community where I can.
